Monday 20 September 2021 (Time) “The 13” 13 rounds for time of: 155 M row 2 Deadlift (1.5 BW) 8 Push-ups 20 Double Unders 18 Hollow body Rocks / Hold seconds We wanted to join in with many other gyms in honoring the 13 fallen soldiers from the attack on the Kabul Airport on August 26, 2021 in Afghanistan. These brave men and women sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Thirteen soldiers died, 11 Marines, an Army Corpsman, and a Navy Corpsman. The attack marked one of the deadliest days for American forces in the past decade of the 20-year war in Afghanistan. The soldiers who sacrificed their lives were: – Dylan Merola – 20 – Daegan William-Tyeler Page – 23 – Humberto Sanchez – 22 – Johanny Rosario – 25 – Nicole Gee – 23 – Hunter Lopez – 22 – Taylor Hoover – 31 – Ryan Knauss – 23 – David Lee Espinoza – 20 – Rylee McCollum – 20 – Jared Schmitz – 20 – Kareem Nikoui – 20 – Max Soviak – 22 Meaning behind the reps: 13 rounds = 13 fallen soldiers 155 meters = 2021 year of attack divided by 13 2 = 26th day of the month 8 = Month of the year 20 = Years the US was in Afghanistan 18 = represents the Marine core 244 years
